Ontario sports betting customers wanted more options when betting. BetMGM wanted to fill the void. One of the first legal US-based sportsbooks opened to ideas about Canada, BetMGM walked the walk.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt commented:

BetMGM is an Official Sports Betting Partner of the NFL. The league first offered partnerships to Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, and FanDuel. Along came FOX Bet, WynnBET, and PointsBet as the final few.

NFL Canada Agreement
The NFL in Canada will offer BetMGM promotional and marketing advantages. The league also uses official NFL/BetMGM logos and trademarks in Canada
BetMGM gives Canadian customers exclusive NFL experiences. NFL Canada Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships Gavin Kemp says the NFL Canada/BetMGM will “only help further grow the game and the league’s popularity up north.”
The NFL and BetMGM will mutually benefit in Canada under the proposed plan.
NFL Games and North America
The NFL has been a US sports betting favorite for a long time. Its gaining momentum in the south in Mexico and the north in Canada.
Bell Media up in Canada is the sole television section via The Sports Network (TSN). With Bell widening its coverages of NFL games acquired RedZone, the company comments:
“With legal sports betting now operational in Ontario, Canada’s most populated province, the NFL expects to see its ratings only further increase in Canada. The expansion of regulated sports wagering in the US has been credited for increased television rating stateside.”
The NFL season, on average, attracts about 18 million viewers. Most of them are US citizens, but the Canadian are climbing on board. In general, the NFL is filled with both south and north enthusiasts in the North American landscape.
