Win Totals for 2022 AFC East

The AFC East Division could be one of the most interesting in the NFL during the 2022 season. There is one big betting favorite, but at least two other teams are ready to contend.

The AFC East Division came down to the final game during the 2021 season, but the eventual winner was the team that was the favorite at the beginning of the season. This division has been dominated by the New England Patriots in the 21st century, but things have shifted in a different direction.

The odds to win the AFC East Division have been set since the end of the 2021 season, and those odds have changed a few times since they were released. That trend will likely continue leading up to the start of the year as the rosters continue to evolve.

There is one big betting favorite to win the AFC East, but surprises can always happen in the NFL.

Bills Are Heavy Favorites

The Buffalo Bills are going to enter the 2022 season as the big favorites to win the AFC East, with odds set at -220. Buffalo was a big favorite during the 2021 season as well, but they were only able to win the division in Week 18.

Not only are the Bills the favorites to win the AFC East, but they are also the favorites to win the Super Bowl at +650. Buffalo went out in the Divisional Round of the AFC Playoffs a year ago in one of the best playoff games in recent memory.

Quarterback Josh Allen is back to lead what should be a terrific offense, and the defense has plenty of talent as well.

Dolphins/Patriots Ready to Contend

The Buffalo Bills might be the clear favorites to win the AFC East, but they are going to have plenty of competition as well. The Miami Dolphins (+450) and the New England Patriots (+500) should also be in the mix, and those two franchises have had plenty of recent success against Buffalo.

Miami made a big splash in the offseason by acquiring Tyreek Hill, and that offense should be able to put up some big numbers. New England will be in the second year of the Mac Jones’ tenure, and he should have that offense ready to be a playoff team.

Jets Still Rebuilding

The New York Jets are the one team in the AFC East that don’t seem to have a chance to be competitive this season, as they have odds set at +2400. This Jets team could actually be competitive in some of the other divisions in football, but not with these teams in the AFC East Division.

New York is still in the middle of a rebuild, but they look like they have some pieces in place that can start to turn this thing around. Quarterback Zach Wilson has shown flashes of greatness at times in his career, and that defense can get some stops.
