The most popular actors on Cameo

So, you’ve been tasked to make your office party even more memorable than it generally is and unfortunately, you’re out of ideas. Well, what about having Kevin Malone from The Office replicate his famous chili incident (at least virtually), for you all? Well, that can happen, thanks to Cameo!

The service allows you to book a variety of celebrities, ranging from actors, musicians, athletes and more, to make a short video that serves as a personalized message, for a fee. So if your significant other’s favorite celebrity is on Cameo, you know where to go to make their birthday even more special.

But, who are the most popular actors to request cameos from and how much money have they approximately made on the platform?

If you starred in a fan favourite show, chances are you’re popular on Cameo

Research from us-bookies.com shows that Brian Baumgartner who played Kevin “It’s not Ashton Kutcher” Malone on NBC’s The Office is the second most popular actor on Cameo, amassing about 3600 ratings. He is second only to James Buckley aka Jay from The Inbetweeners who has 4200 ratings.

Baumgartner does, however, have a higher average rating than Buckley, with a 4.98 average compared to Buckley’s 4.96. Baumgartner has earned around $779040 off Cameo requests, compared to Buckley’s $232716.12. Looks like ‘Kevin’s famous Chili’ is commercially viable in the Cameo world.

The Office and The Inbetweeners are not the only TV shows with a sizable Cameo fan base. James Marsters’ popularity (about 2300 ratings with average rating of 4.98) suggests that the legion of Buffy The Vampire Slayer fans is going strong on Cameo.

That trend continues with Larry Thomas aka The Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. The Emmy nominee has continued cashing in on his popularity from the classic sitcom, amassing around 2000 ratings with an average rating of 5. He charges $144.45 per video and has approximately earned $288900 from personal Cameos.

The most successful woman on Cameo?

Real Housewives of New York star Sonja Morgan is the most popular woman on Cameo, clocking in 2083 ratings with an average rating of 4.9.

The fan-favorite charges $95.45 per cameo and based on that, is estimated to have earned $198882.50 on the platform.

Talk about replicating small-screen success on an even smaller screen!

Hot takes on sports are Cameo-worthy, if your name is Michael Rapaport

Michael Rapaport, whose career spans movies, TV and even video games, figures in the Top 10 list for actors with most cameo ratings. The distinctive New Yorker, known for his ‘hot takes’ on sports, especially when it comes to the NBA and the New York Yankees, seems to be a popular figure on Cameo. He has 1700 ratings (with an average of 4.98) and has approximately made $325683.

Methodology:

  • The data was compiled from cameo.com and is as of November 17, 2021.
  • To estimate the overall earning on the platform, we multiplied the price per cameo by the number of ratings. A rating can only be given once a video has been provided by the requested figure.
  • Prices are for personal requests only
