The NBA Playoffs are underway, and there are eight teams competing to win the Eastern Conference. This conference is balanced, and predicting the winner won’t be easy.
There have been many years when the Eastern Conference in the NBA is far inferior to the West, but that isn’t the case in 2022. The Eastern Conference is loaded with great teams, and that will make the playoffs extremely exciting.
One of the top betting favorites to win the Eastern Conference actually had to win a play-in tournament game to even make the field. There just isn’t a ton of separation between many of the teams, and that will provide some terrific excitement and drama in the postseason.

The Brooklyn Nets have been NBA title favorites since the 2021-22 season began, but they come into the playoffs as the number seven seed. That speaks to how great some teams in this conference are, and it’s going to be a dogfight to win the East.
The Milwaukee Bucks are currently the betting favorites to win the Eastern Conference at +200. Milwaukee won the NBA Championship a season ago, and they come into the playoffs as the number three seed.
Miami is the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, and they currently have betting odds set at +270 to win the conference. The Heat have to deal with the Atlanta Hawks in the first round.
The Boston Celtics (+360) and the Brooklyn Nets (+800) are both in the mix as well, but one team is going to get eliminated in the First Round. Boston has taken a 1-0 series lead, but all of these games will be terrific to watch.
Finally, the Philadelphia 76ers are +600 to win the Eastern Conference, but you can’t count them out. Philadelphia is led by Joel Embiid and James Harden, and that duo can do some damage in the playoffs.

Three Teams Looking For Upsets
There are always going to be upsets in the NBA Playoffs, and there are three teams in the Eastern Conference looking to do just that. The Western Conference appears to be more “up for grabs,” but you can still see a major upset happening in the Eastern Conference.
The Chicago Bulls have the worst odds to win the Eastern Conference at +12000, but they nearly stole Game 1 in Milwaukee. If the Bulls can get past the Bucks, then those odds are going to shift dramatically.
Atlanta is the number eight seed in the East, and they have betting odds set at +7500. The Hawks were in the Eastern Conference Finals a season ago and could make another surprising run.
The Toronto Raptors (+3000) look like the best chance to pull off an upset, but they are dealing with a number of injuries. Toronto will have to play extremely well to get past the Philadelphia 76ers in the First Round.
