–After Officially Entering 2022 Race, Beto Starts to Close Gap Between Him and Abbot–

Beto O’Rourke’s odds to win the 2022 Texas Gubernatorial election have improved since officially announcing his campaign, according to betting aggregators US-Bookies.com (See Disclaimer Below). Since November 9, O’Rourke’s odds to be elected have improved from 10/3 (23.1% implied probability) to 3/1 (25%).

“After being hinted at for some time, Beto O’Rourke finally announced his bid to run for governor of Texas, and his odds to win the election noticed slight improvements following the announcement,” says a US-Bookies spokesperson. “While Abbot still holds a considerable lead in the oddsmakers’ eyes, O’Rourke’s odds to be the next governor of Texas are now the strongest they’ve ever been.”

Greg Abbott remains the odds-on favorite to win the 2022 Texas Gubernatorial Election. His odds have remained unchanged at 1/10 (90.9% implied probability) since November 9. Abbott’s odds have improved since the end of September, when he was the 1/3 favorite to win (75%).

“Beto O’Rourke wasn’t the only one whose odds improved in the last week, as Allen West’s shifted from 14/1 to 10/1,” says a US-Bookies spokesperson. “West overtook Don Huffines, whose odds worsened from 12/1 to 16/1.”
