We have reached Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and the series now shifts to Tampa Bay after two games in Colorado. The Avalanche have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead, putting the Lightning in a must-win situation on Monday night.

Colorado has been nearly unbeatable so far in the playoffs as they have gone a remarkable 14-2. The Avalanche just picked up a 7-0 win in Game 2, and they come into this with a ton of momentum.

Tampa Bay has had to battle throughout the playoffs as they are looking for their third straight Stanley Cup title. The Lightning are in bad shape in this series, but a win can turn things back around.

The Colorado Avalanche are the moneyline betting favorites at -113 over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Avalanche Rolling Along

The Colorado Avalanche have dominated on both sides of the ice in this series, and they always seem to have the puck. Not only are the Avalanche doubling up the Lightning in terms of shot attempts, but they are also putting those pucks in the net.

Cale Makar had a pair of goals in the Game 2 win, and he is also one of the best defensemen in hockey. Colorado continues to overwhelm opponents with their attack, but they also recorded a shutout in the Game 2 win.

Goaltender Darcy Kuemper doesn’t always get a ton of recognition, but he is clearly one of the best goaltenders in the league.

Tampa Bay Has No Offense

The Tampa Bay Lightning were able to score three goals in the series opener but only had 23 shots on goal. The Lightning had just 16 shots on goal in Game 2, and they haven’t been able to do much of anything on offense.

Nikita Kucherov is the player that has to get going for Tampa Bay as he leads the team with 24 playoff points. The Lightning are a great team on the power play, but they just aren’t getting many opportunities.

Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy also has to find a way to play better, but it won’t matter if Tampa Bay is unable to find any offense.

Lightning Get One Back

Game 2 was an absolute blowout, but all hope is not lost for the Lightning. Tampa Bay has been in this position before, and they always seem to find a way to respond and bounce back.

The Lightning are going to have to find a way to generate some more offense, and they also have to find a way to slow the Avalanche down. That’s not easy to do against Colorado, but this the Lightning won’t have to deal with the Avalanche up in Colorado.

This NHL game will be similar to the series opener, but this time the Lightning make the clutch plays. Bet the Tampa Bay Lightning moneyline as they come away with a win in Game 3 to inch a little closer in the Stanley Cup Finals.
