Florida and Ohio Go Live With Caesars Racebook

As part of an agreement with NYRA Bets, Caesars Sportsbook is branching out into the horse betting industry. Testing the waters before widespread expansion, Caesars Racebook is now available in both Florida and Ohio. The timing was perfect with the recent running of the 2022 Belmont Stakes.

The New York Racing Association has become one of the premier horse betting operators in the US. Through the NYRA Bets brand, legal betting on horse races is available in 30 different states across the country.

This new partnership gives Caesars access to the NYRA Bets horse betting platform. On June 1, the company announced it was taking wagers through the Caesars Racebook mobile app in Florida and Ohio. Available for download as an iOS app, a version for Android devices will soon be available.

Caesars Racebook

As an offshoot of Caesars Sportsbook, the move into horse betting is viewed as a natural progression. Instead of investing in a separate betting platform, the collaboration with the established NYRA Bets platform was a logical move.

With access to the platform, Caesars Racebook can offer betting access to more than 250 race tracks around the world. The heaviest concentration of betting volume will be at major US tracks such as Churchill Downs, Santa Anita Park and Aqueduct Racetrack. However, this coverage includes international markets such as the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and Dubai.

Initial plans included the recent rollout in Florida and Ohio. However, through the partnership with NYRA Bets, Caesars Racebook will eventually expand to as many as 30 different states.

The main attraction for Caesars Rewards customers is the inclusion of racebook betting in the program. Similar to Caesars Sportsbook, this will give horse betting customers access to exclusive offers and other valuable perks.

Caesars Racebook will also provide value-added benefits such as horse race replays and professional handicapping insights. Working with NYRA bets as the premier horse betting app in the industry, Caesars Racebook will be able to match all of those features.

Caesars Entertainment’s Commitment to the Horse Racing Industry

As a major casino gaming and entertainment company based in Nevada, Caesars Entertainment has always been involved in the US horse racing industry. The company is the official host of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association’s National Handicapping Championship. This event is held annually at Horseshoe Las Vegas.

Caesars is also committed to expanding its physical presence in the industry. Plans are in the works for a Harrah’s racetrack and casino gaming venue in Nebraska. In January of this year, Caesars was named the official betting partner of the NYRA’s Turf Triple Series at Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course in New York.

Renewed interest in horse racing as well as betting on the races is a growing trend across the US. Rich Strike recently spiked that interest by winning the 2022 Kentucky Derby as an 80-1 longshot. Churchill Downs broke numerous betting records for this year’s Derby Day on May 7.

The horse racing industry posted an impressive $12.2 billion betting handle in 2021. This year has also gotten off to a fast start heading into the summer racing season.
