The Crown is Expected to be Big Winner of 73rd Emmy Awards

Emmy Awards Betting Odds

Jason Sudeikis is the odds-on favorite to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in Ted Lasso, according to betting aggregators. His odds to win are 1/33 (97.1% implied probability). The nearest competitors are Michael Douglas, who is 10/1 to win for The Kominsky Method (9.1%), and Anthony Anderson, who is 20/1 to win for Black-ish (4.8%).

Ted Lasso is also the odds-on favorite to win Outstanding Comedy Series at 1/10 (90.9%). It’s followed by The Flight Attendant at 9/1 (10%) and Hacks at 10/1 (9.1%).

“Sudeikis is the biggest favorite of the major awards in this year’s Emmys,” says a US-Bookies spokesperson. “But The Crown looks like the series to beat this year, as it’s currently odds-on to win three of the major categories.”

The Crown is the odds-on favorite to win Outstanding Drama Series at 1/7 (87.5% implied probability). It’s followed by The Mandalorian at 9/2 (18.2%), Bridgerton at 12/1 (7.7%), The Handmaid’s Tale at 14/1 (6.7%), Pose at 25/1 (3.8%), Lovecraft Country at 28/1 (3.4%), The Boys at 30/1 (3.2%) and This Is Us at 35/1 (2.8%).

Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor are the odds-on favorites to win Outstanding Lead Actress and Actor in a Drama Series, respectively, for their roles in The Crown, both at 2/7 odds (77.8%). Corrin is followed by MJ Rodriguez at 4/1 (20%), while O’Connor is followed by Billy Porter at 3/1 (25%).

“Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series appears to be the closest of the main categories of the 73rd Emmy Awards,” says a US-Bookies spokesperson. “The Queen’s Gambit is the odds-on favorite at 2/5, but it has the weakest odds of the main category favorites, and it’s followed by Mare of Easttown at 2/1, marking the smallest margin between the first and second picks.”

Jean Smart is the odds-on favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, with 4/11 odds (73.3%). She’s followed by Kaley Cuoco, who’s 15/8 to win (34.8%).
