Caesars Sportsbook Creates Partnership with the Indianapolis 500

F1 Race Track

As a Nevada-based casino and entertainment giant, Caesars is used to doing things in a big way. The current Caesars Entertainment based in Reno was formed through one of the largest mergers in US gaming history.

Once the ink dried on that famous deal between Eldorado Resorts and Caesars Entertainment, the real fun began. In an effort to make a major splash in the legal US sports betting industry, Caesars went out and purchased William Hill. Based in the UK, Caesars only interest in this global sports betting giant was its US operations.

Moving Forward as Caesars Sportsbook

The effort to rebrand William Hill as Caesars Sportsbook started to gain some serious momentum in 2021. The company became the naming sponsor of the Louisiana Superdome, college football’s Fiesta Bowl in Arizona and a gaming partner of Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Moving to the halfway point of 2022, Caesars Sportsbook just announced a new strategic partnership with the Indianapolis 500. The company will become the Official Sports Betting Partner of this iconic motor racing event.

Held every year at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indy 500 has become synonymous with the Memorial Day weekend holiday. Also referred to as the Brickyard, racing greats such as Mario Andretti, Al Unser and AT Foyt have helped make the Indy 500 a household name in the US.

As the Official Sports Betting Partner of this race, Caesars has also established a partnership with Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). Caesars will become an official sponsor of the IMS racing series. The company has rights to the speedway’s logos and other branding assets. It will also receive video board placements during the race.

Caesars’ Take on the Latest Sports Property Partnership

As Co-President of Caesars Digital, Eric Hession released the following comments on this latest deal:

“Partnering with one of racing’s most iconic venues and ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing’ provides our customers with unique experiences through Caesars Rewards. This will be as impactful partnership that builds upon our commitment to the state of Indiana alongside the investments into our resorts and the communities they serve.”

An added perk in the deal with the racetrack is the establishment of a sports betting lounge. The Caesars Sportsbook Lounge will be located on the Pagoda Plaza. Guests at the lounge will enjoy an elevated view of the entire 2.5-mile racing oval.

The lounge will be open in conjunction with all racing events at the Brickyard. This time frame includes all practice sessions, qualifying events and actual race days. There will be special VIP experiences open to members of Caesars Rewards customer loyalty program.

This latest sponsorship agreement is part of Caesars Entertainment’s strong gaming presence in the state of Indiana. Ahead of last year’s NFL regular season, the company became a sports betting partner of the Indianapolis Colts.

Along with state-wide access to the Caesars Sportsbook mobile betting app, there are three land-based casino venues in Indiana. One of those venues is Horseshoe Indianapolis in Shelbyville.
